1. I love spaghetti. In my opinion, spaghetti is and always will be the only proof that God exists: who else would have been able to create such a divine recipe?
  2. I used to play the clarinet, but I quit before having to do my final year and graduating as a clarinetist. The reason why I quit is because I used to suffer from extreme nerves whenever I had to play in front of the public on my own.
  3. Next year when I go to university, I want to read law. It has always been my dream to one day become a lawyer and defend innocent people in trials.
  4. Just kidding. I only want to become a lawyer for the money. I love $$$.
  5. My all-time favourite song is The summer of ‘69 by Bryan Adams.
  6. Buffy, the vampire slayer still rocks, even if it’s the twentieth time they broadcast the show.
  7. If I’m ever going to get married, it will have to be in Phaestum. The ceremony would have to be pagean, since that would really fit the atmosphere there. Now all I have to find is a husband willing to pay for said location.
  8. Although my native language is dutch, I am so addicted to English I sometimes even have dreams in which everyone speaks English. I usually only notice it when I wake up or re-analyze the dream.
  9. If I had to opportunity to take such classes in Belgium, I would have preferred becoming a profiler (as seen on television). I have this weird obsession with reading the life-stories of murderers.
  10. In my opinion, Anne Rice and Robin Hobb can battle for the position of second best writer ever. I wouldn’t know who to choose.
  11. The absolute top however, would have to be Marion (Zimmer) Bradley. Or perhaps this is due to my extreme obsession for the Arthurian Legend…and the fact she always manages to make me cry. (Yes, even after reading Mists of Avalon for the tenth time!)
  12. To come back on my obsession for the Arthurian Legend…I am deeply obsessed. I dream about Camelot, I fantasize about Avalon…My nickname on nearly every forum I frequent is Morgan Le Fay…Even on here, I prefer people to call me Morgan…OBSESSION much.
  13. Gwenny was an idiot to choose Lancelot above Arthur.
  14. My favourite childhood-fairytale was that of Robin Hood. My father and I used to play ‘Robin Hood’ when I was younger, lets say I was about six/seven years old. I used to be Robin Hood (yes, I am female) and he was always the bad prince John. Hehehe, great times.
  15. Although very easily scared, I am also interested in the paranormal. Especially ghosts, spirits, beings (call them whatever you want) carry my interest. I dare swear my life on it that I once saw a ghost and I can almost guarantee it will not be the last one I saw.
  16. One of my dreams is to visit every old, scary-looking house/castle in Belgium at night and take some pictures, hopefully proving the existence of ghosts.
  17. Normal children who don’t have brothers or sisters sometimes have an imaginary friend. Mine was an imaginary vampire. His name was Aubrey. The weird thing is, I knew from the start he wasn’t real but I wished so very deeply he was that I could even see him clearly, touch him if I wanted to. Hell, I could even kick the bloodsucker. :)
  18. Although baptised, I am not a christian. My Mom wanted me to be one of those ‘fakers’ who says he is christian, but never goes to church. Well, I’m not one of those. I don’t believe in Jesus Christ to be the Messias, as stated in the bible. I believe he was a good man, but not necessarily the Son of God.
  19. I range somewhere in between being an atheist (or a non-believer) or someone who does believe in a higher being, but therefore not necessarily in God.
  20. I am quite straight-foward and harsh about my beliefs. Discussion about them usually ends up in me spitting out the entire bible to the point where it can no longer be believed by any sain people. Do not get into discussion about this with me. It will only lead to trouble.
  21. I have a somewhat Satanic view on life (don’t get all mad now, you people don’t even know what I mean just yet!). Point being that I do not wish to become a perfect person by doing only good. I prefer to find a balance within myself between good and evil; I choose to embrace the evil that is inside of me, since it is a part of me and I am willing to live with it rather than to deny it.
  22. My motto is: If you cannot proof it does not exist, then there is always the slight possibility that it does exist.
  23. I am a real Standardista. If my website is not up to standards, I freak out. Literally. I get up, run around the house like a madwoman, screaming ‘Aaaaah’ or ‘Noooo’ or ‘HELP’ or ‘Fire’ or something along those lines. I can get very edgy about peculiar details too. You might want to stay away from me during those periods of time.
  24. You know, them little ‘déjà-vu moments’ when you have the feeling you’ve been there before and done the exact same thing? I get them a lot, sometimes even up to five times a day! I know we have all been here before…It’s kind of like the Matrix, but even worse and even more confusing. We might have lived this life over and over again in alternate dimensions and sometimes our mind is smart enough to put the connection between this life and the one before and…Oops, here I go again.
  25. Although you could hardly call me a prep, I like clothes. I love shopping, but only certain days of the year: I have to be in the mood to go shopping. I love buying clothes too, especially soft, nice sweaters. I also adore buying shoes!
  26. My favourite class at school is History. It is so interesting to find out how today’s society was created due to decisions in the past. My favourite time-area is probably Ancient Rome and Greece or the Dark Middle Ages. I can’t really choose.
  27. I’ve been taking Latin classes for about six years now. My all-time favourite Latin writer is Caesar no doubt. I was totally in love with those stories from the battlefield! Cicero comes next in line, but only because he was the best lawyer Rome ever had.
  28. I used to have a crush on August, first Emperor of Rome…Yes, he has been dead for about two thousand years, but I loved his fierce personality and strong character… ;)
  29. The first ‘adult’ fantasy book I ever read, was Magician by Raymond E. Feist. It stays an excellent book, in my opinion.
  30. I have to admit I am a little of a perfectionist. I do try to cope with that side of me though. Not everything can always be perfect.
  31. When it comes to loving someone, I am about the most loyal person you can ever meet. True love never dies, is my life-saying. And I am not afraid to battle for love.
  32. That said, my Mom sometimes think in one of my past lives, I was a Roman general. It is true I have highly-developed battle skills and can defeat anyone games such as Stratego. I can also already guess what move the enemy is going to make next in war-related fantasy books…But if that makes me a long deceased, Roman warlord…I have my doubts.
  33. My favourite character in the series Xena, The Warrior Princess was no doubt the God of War, Ares. Can you say yum?
  34. Johnny Depp is, no doubt, the best actor this world has ever seen. And for all you Johnny haters, bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh! Who can honestly say they did not see Pirates of the Caribbean and fell madly in love with it? Who can? Who?!!!
  35. That said, the person who takes me to the cinema / buys me tickets to see Sweeney Todd is my new best friend.
  36. I have about 400 books laying somewhere around my house. About three quarters of those are fantasy-books. Go me!
  37. Within the fantasy genre, Celtic Fantasy and High Fantasy are my favourite genres…Does it get complicated already?
  38. I am not that fond of the Harry Potter books, yet I love writing stories in the HP Universe. I cannot honestly explain why: I think J.K. Rowling writes well, but only for younger people.
  39. My favourite HP Characters are Bellatrix Black Lestrange and Lord Voldemort. Yes, I have a soft spot for the bad guys…
  40. In case I had to choose the best book trilogy ever written, I would sincerely doubt between The Seven Waters Trilogy of Juliet Marillier (truelly addicting!) and The Rhapsody Trilogy of Elizabeth Haydon. Anyone who calls himself a fantasy-lover should have read both of these trilogies.
  41. The best book ever, in any genre and any language is: In the Forests of the Night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. No one can outdo this book. Never. It can even make Shakespeare gasp in agony.
  42. The opening dance on my wedding should be either Because You Loved me by Céline Dion, Always by Bon Jovi or On Earth as in Heaven by Globus.
  43. Best films ever made: Pirates of the Caribbean I, II and III. The Matrix trilogy (especially number III) and Gangs of New York. Also Titanic is quite good, but always able to make me cry, unfortunately.
  44. There are three HUGE posters in my room: one of Pirates of The Caribbean, Dead Man’s Chest, one of Buffy, the vampire slayer and one of The Matrix. Can you say: surprise, surprise?
  45. I cannot stand seeing an animal die, not even when it’s on tv or in a film. I simply start crying and decide to hate the film from that point on.
  46. My favourite drinks are alcoholic drinks. Eristoff and Smirnoff always taste quite well. (Yes, I’m a vodka-girl…)
  47. I have a secret lab next to my bedroom where I create special weaponry for the FBI, CSI and NASA. Don’t believe me? Try and find out…Did I mention it is highly protected by a laser field that immediately kills any unidentified alien? Yes, better stay away. So, this is something for me to know and for you to find out…
  48. There is a certain castle I would love to buy. Feel generous? You can always donate some money on my account…Or simply buy me the damn thing. Cost: about 1 million euros. But any penny helps, really. (No, I’m not kidding about wanting to buy a castle…)
  49. The most horrible thing humanity ever did was the massmurders during World War II. Nothing can ever justify or explain the bad that was done there. During those times, no one had to believe in hell anymore because living on earth was simply the same as living in hell. The concentration camps killed thousands of innocent people. Difference in religion or culture should never end up in such massacre again. Never again. I am strongly against hating people simply because they have another way of living than we have, or another religion. Religion is not worth killing for. Never was and never will be. (Read on…)
  50. To end this with a happier note: All I want for Christmas is YOU!
